As we see Shahid Kapoor is gearing up for his next film Jersey it has become the most awaited movie in the B Town. He will be stepping into the shoes of the Telugu star Nani who did the film at the same time. It was at the end of October when we saw the preparation for the film and since then Shahid has been preparing for the role by getting the training in the sports of cricket. Now, we have an update the Mrunal Thakur has been roped in for the film.
The film Jersey happens to be an official remake of film Jersey that has remained the critically acclaimed and commercially successful film in Telugu film industry. Gowtham Tinnanuri is the director of the original film while he is also directing the Hindi version of the movie as well. As per reports, the director has kept Mrunal as his first choice once he signed up Shahid for the film. Talking about the actress, the director said he has seen the lady in Super 30 and liked her performance there.
He said that the lady has done the complete justice to the given role hence remains the perfect choice for Jersey remake. While talking about the film, Mrunal said that she is super excited to be the part of the film opposite Shahid Kapoor in the remake. She said that she has seen the original film in Telugu and liked the emotional drama and inspiring movie. Hence when she was offered the role for the Hindi remake, she took it away at once. Gowtam Tinnanauri is the director of the film and is produced by Allu Aravind, Aman Gill, Dil Raju, while it is all set to hit the screens on 28th August 2020.
