Cuttputlli producer Jackky Bhagnani did not know that Rakul Preet Singh was offered the film
Akshay Kumar and Rakul Preet Singh are sharing the screen together for the first time for Cuttputlli. The movie debuts on Disney+ Hotstar on September 2 and is produced by Jackky Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment. At a press conference held in Mumbai today, the movie’s trailer was presented. Rakul revealed that although she is starring in the movie under Jackky Bhagnani’s production company, the director Ranjit M. Tewari introduced her to the project.
In the upcoming thriller Cuttputlli, Rakul Preet Singh and Akshay Kumar play key roles. Rakul revealed at a press conference in Mumbai that she had been asked to star in the movie by her lover, Jackky Bhagnani. For those who are unaware, the movie is made by Pooja Entertainment, the actor’s production company.
Rakul said, “Mujhe yah movie director Ranjit M Tewari ke taraf se aayi thi and Jackky Bhagnani kuch der baad mein pata chala tha ki meri baat hui hain film ke baare mein. Jo adaptation hain, jis tarah se mera role hain, jo kahani hainfilm ki, wo bohot pasand aayi thi. It was more or less an instant yes because mujhe Akshay Sir ke saath bhi kaam karna tha. That was one of my biggest dreams muze unke sath kam karna tha.”
On August 20, the Cuttputlli trailer was released. In this thriller, the actor makes a comeback as a cop on a mission to catch a crazed killer in Kasauli.
The 2018 Tamil film Ratsasan, which starred Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul in the key roles, was officially remade as Cuttputlli. Rakul Preet Singh and Akshay Kumar are the stars of the Hindi version. The movie, which is funded by Pooja Entertainment, will debut on Disney+ Hotstar on September 2.
