Rakshabandhan Special: Superlative sibling duos Bollywood gave us over the years that stayed with us forever!

Raksha Bandhan technically translates to “safety” and “connection,” but we believe this relationship is far more than that. It isn’t simply about protection, since, let’s face it, virtually every brother is a little protective and possessive of their sister! You’ll all agree that siblings may be a bit obnoxious and intrusive at times.

But can you see them arguing with you over trivial matters or not having your back? Such is the complexity of a sibling relationship.

Today, as we celebrate Rakshabandhan, let’s take a look at the types of sibling duos that we all have in our lives, with a little help from Bollywood, which has given us a lifetime of memories, as we talk about the bond of brother and sister this Raksha Bandhan.

Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na:

In the film, Genelia D’Souza and Prateik Babbar chase each other like cats and dogs. Regardless of how much Aditi and Amit argue and kick one other’s asses, they will always remain great friends. They demonstrated how their relationship progressed from loathing one another to rekindle it.

Dil Dhadakne Do:

In the film Dil Dhadakne Do, the Mehra siblings are a wonderful match. They are each other’s confidantes. Kabir was concealing her birth control and divorce information from her family and, of course, her husband, just as Ayesha was concealing Kabir’s love for Farah from their family. With such sensitive knowledge, you can only entrust your sibling. This duo deserves a round of applause!

Josh:

In the film, Shah Rukh and Aishwarya were not only playing siblings, but also twins. Shirley and Max are ideal “partners in crime,” from disrupting their rivals’ classes to annoy Max’s girlfriend’s male buddy. Have you forgotten Apun Bola, the legendary song? They are the definition of a ‘partners in crime’ combo.

Housefull:

As previously said, brothers, whether older or younger, become protective of their sisters. That’s how Krishan Rao and Sandy interacted. Krishan (Arjun Rampal) goes out of his way in the film to investigate Sandy’s love life.
