Shah Rukh Khan’s “Jawan” Receives U/A Certification; CBFC Edits Out-of-Context Mention of India’s President, Substitutes NSG with IISG

Gadar 2 is a blockbuster, but Jawan is the next big thing to happen in B Town. Gadar 2 is currently doing great business at the box office, but all eyes are now on Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan. Khan’s last film, Pathaan, was the biggest hit of Hindi cinema, and the excitement for Jawan is tremendous.

However, as per Bollywood Hungama report, Jawan is Cleared by CBFC with 7 Changes. The upcoming film Jawan has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with a U/A certificate. However, the makers were asked to make seven changes in the film. The changes include:

Reducing the visuals of suicide.

Removing the violent visuals of the beheaded body.

Modifying an “out of context” reference to the Honourable President of India and replacing it with the term “Head of State”.

Making the same change in another place where the dialogue was replaced with “Bravery medal”.

Removing the words “Paida hoke” from the dialogue “Tab tak beta vote daalne…”.

The action entertainer has already been cleared by the censor board, and it is expected to have a record opening when it releases on September 7, 2023. Jawan is directed by Atlee and also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Sanya Malhotra. Here are some of the reasons why Jawan is expected to be a blockbuster:
