Anant Mahadevan is a TV and film actor who hails from Cochin, India. He was born on 28th August 1950 in Cochin. He did his schooling and college from his hometown before headed to Mumbai to start his career in the field of acting. He started his career with film Ghar Jamai in the year 1980 and then was seen in the films Chandni, Baazigar, Gangster, Prem Yog, Live Today, Akele Hum Akele Tum, Vijeta, Yes Boss, Ishq, Miss 420, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, Kudrat, Dil Kya Kare, and Baadshah to name a few.
Some of his recent movies include Barood : (The Fire) – A Love Story, Evening Shadows, Vishwaroopam 2, Aadat Se Majboor (TV Series), Papanasam. The Xposé, Staying Alive and 2.0 to name a few. He also was the part of a few TV shows Devi and Ghar Jamai, while he also worked as a director for the films like Staying Alive. Mee Sindhutai Sapkal, Red Alert: The War Within, Anamika: The Untold Story, Aggar: Passion Betrayal Terror, Victoria No. 203: Diamonds Are Forever, Aksar, Dil Maange More!!!, Dil Vil Pyar Vyar.
He worked as a writer for films including as Anamika: The Untold Story in the year 2008 for the screenplay and wrote stories for the films Aksar, Dil Maange More!!! and Mee Sindhutai Sapkal for the screenplay. He also bagged the awards for the Best Screenplay and dialogues for the film Mee Sindhutai Sapkal, while his films also were premiered the International Film Festival in Goa and the International Film Festival of Chennai. His film Rough Book also helped him bag the award. His upcoming film includes The Xpose Return releasing on 2020.
