Produced by Zee Studios in collaboration with Makhijafilm, an independent production house co-owned by Devashish Makhija and curator-producer Anupama Bose, Joram is set to captivate audiences in Sydney this month and Durban in the near future.

Devashish Makhija further explained the essence of Joram, saying, “Joram is an emotionally charged survival thriller that follows the story of a tribal man relentlessly pursued by powerful forces who seek his demise. He must remain on the run to protect his infant daughter. Manoj Bajpayee’s performance is gripping, as are the powerful portrayals by the rest of the cast. We are ecstatic about the international recognition the film has garnered and are excited to be competing at the ‘Durban International Film Festival.'”

Devashish has done a remarkable job, and Zee Studios’ support for the project has been unparalleled. I am delighted that the film will now be showcased at the Durban International Film Festival.

Joram is a thought-provoking psychological thriller that delves into the experiences of a hunted man striving to protect his daughter. The film explores themes of social inequality, injustice within tribal communities, deforestation, and more. Alongside Manoj Bajpayee and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Joram features Smita Tambe, Megha Mathur, Tannishtha Chatterjee, and Rajshri Deshpande in pivotal roles.
