Saif Ali Khan Inks Deal for Balaji Mohan’s Next Project ‘Click Shankar’ with Junglee Pictures, Reports Suggest

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is currently on a signing spree, with multiple projects in his line-up. The latest addition to his roster is a collaboration with Tamil filmmaker Balaji Mohan, renowned for directing the Dhanush starrer “Maari.” The upcoming project, titled “Click Shankar,” will be produced by Junglee Pictures.

According to a report in Peeping Moon, a source revealed, “Click Shankar is a brilliantly written, character-driven subject with a perfect blend of suspense, humor, and emotions. Saif is a perfect fit for the role, and his sharp charisma and confidence will bring an intriguing essence to the narrative. It’s a role unlike any Saif has played before, and he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to be a part of this incredibly creative and ambitious project.” The report also states that Saif will begin shooting for the film in May.

“Click Shankar” follows the story of Shankar Rebeiro, a witty yet troubled inspector grappling with hyperthymesia, a rare condition that ensures every moment is etched in his mind. The film takes audiences on a cerebral journey as Shankar navigates a mystery that tests not only his deductive prowess but also confronts the haunting permanence of his past.

As Balaji Mohan makes his Hindi film debut, the screenplay for “Click Shankar” is written by Binky Mendez and Balaji Mohan, with Karan Vyas, known for his work on “Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story,” set to pen the dialogues. The film is envisioned as a franchise, promising a captivating series of stories.

In addition to “Click Shankar,” Saif Ali Khan has two other projects in the works. He will be seen in “Devara Part 1,” alongside Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, as well as in an investigative drama titled “Kartavya,” produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. With a packed schedule and diverse roles, Saif continues to captivate audiences with his versatility and talent.
