Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff Aim to Recreate the Magic of ‘Naatu Naatu’ in the New Song ‘Mast Malang Jhoom’ from Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Watch Now!

The release of the song “Mast Malang Jhoom” from the Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan took place on Wednesday. At first glance, the song appears to be an endeavor to recreate the Oscar-winning song “Naatu Naatu” from SS Rajamouli’s acclaimed film, RRR. Apart from the dance performances of Akshay and Tiger, there seems to be little else to anticipate in the song. Composed by Vishal Mishra and penned by Irshad Kamil, “Mast Malang Zoom” fails to elicit excitement for a repeat listen or to prompt one to put on their dancing shoes, despite its lively beats.

The video’s commencement with a close-up of tapping feet raises concerns about it following the ‘Naatu Naatu’ route. As the video unfolds, these concerns are substantiated as Akshay and Tiger attempt footwork reminiscent of that perfected by Ram Charan and Jr NTR in “Naatu Naatu”, with Sonakshi Sinha joining them. Choreographer Bosco Caesar seems to have drawn inspiration from Prem Rakshit.

The setting also bears a striking resemblance as suited-up men join Akshay and Tiger in their dance, while women observe this dance showdown between the two lead stars. Sung by Vishal Mishra, Arijit Singh, and Nikhita Gandhi, “Mast Malang Zoom” is a passable addition to the Bade Miyan Chote Miyan album. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan appears to be a high-octane action drama, aptly depicted in its trailer and behind-the-scenes videos.

The film has been shot in unexplored and exotic locations across Scotland, London, India, and the UAE. Prithviraj Sukumaran portrays the antagonist to Akshay and Tiger in the movie. Borrowing its title from David Dhawan’s 1998 film starring Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is all set to hit theaters on Eid.
