The first weekend box office collection of Mardaani goes average

The first weekend box office collection of Mardaani

As expected, the recently released of YRF movie – Mardani, went average in its first weekend box office collection. As per reports, the occupancy rate tolled to around 30 percent in the first weekend. This went as per the expectations of the trade pundits and market analysts for the only reason that it happens to be a niche based movie, which is not at all like any other typical Bollywood entertainer. Mardani was made for the niche audience, and thus it prevailed over the box office with the average tag via the word of mouth publicity.

The audience catching up the movie seemed appreciating the subject though, but nothing exceptional was seen or heard for the movie, at the same time, no one pulled down the film either. Considering the tough competition around and the average promotion of the film, Mardani was able to collect 13 crores in its first weekend over the box office. Despite the small but decent start, Rani;s starrer movie was able to weaken the collection of the blockbuster Singham Returns this weekend, which can add fuel to the word of mouth publicity for Mardani. Well, let’s see how the movie sustains till the release of Raja Natwarlal and Prajakt Rebeloma’s Lastbenchers this Friday.
