Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah : Babita Ji aka Munmun Dutta to quit the show?

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Babita Ji aka Munmun Dutta has been missing from the sets these days. The cast and crew of the film were shooting for the show in Daman due to the Government rule in Maharashtra with an increase in COVID -19 cases in the state.

But the team has actively started shooting in Mumbai for the last one month. Reportedly Munmun has not been on sets yet and due to her unavailability there is no storyline being created around her.

A reliable source told SpotboyE, “Munmun has not reported to the sets ever since she got embroiled in the ‘Bhangi’ comment controversy. And there is a strong buzz that she may even decide to leave the show soon.”

In her previous interview with pinkvilla, when she was asked if she is quitting the show, she said, “Oh No No! I have been a part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for nine years. It’s like a family but you know it’s severely annoying when people simply come and keep asking whether I have left the show whenever they see me travel. My holidays aren’t planned and are spontaneous. If I get a three-four day off, I leave for my travel and trips. But all because I am not seen on camera and am travelling doesn’t mean that I have quit the show.”

Having said that, how much does MunMun enjoy being Babita. She answered, “It’s overwhelming to see people love Babita so much. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want to change or shift what I am doing currently. Of course, I would love to do and explore other genres. I would definitely want to do something else now. Be it a dance reality show or singing, I would want to do it.”
