On July 3 Bollywood lost one of its gems. The ace Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan passed away due to cardiac arrest last year on this day. Remembering the legend many BTown celebs paid their homage to the late choreographer.
On the first death anniversary of Saroj Khan, it has been reported that a biopic on the legendary choreographer is being made which will be bankrolled by T-Series. Some days back the official Twitter handle of T-Series announced that they have acquired certain rights and will be making a biopic on Master ji.
The official statement read, ‘Bhushan Kumar’s T-series announces biopic on legendary choreographer Saroj Khan. Bhushan recently acquired rights to her life story from Saroj Khan’s children Raju Khan, Sukaina Khan and daughter of Hina Khan.’
The statement was backed with a tweet that read, “We’re glad to announce that we’ve acquired the rights to the legendary choreographer, Saroj Khan’s life story. Stay tuned! #BhushanKumar #SarojKhan #TSeries @TSeries #RajuKhan #SukainaKhan #HinaKhan.” Earlier, after the tragic demise of Khan, choreographer-turned-director Remo D’souza had revealed that he was keen to make a film on Saroj Khan as that was the late choreographer’s wish.

“We had a long conversation and she said, “kabhi mere upar biopic koi banaye, to tu hi banana, kyunki tu dance aur struggle do hi samajhta hai (if someone were to make by biopic, you do it because you know the struggle as well as dance’,” Remo told IANS.
Recalling his special memory with the late choreographer, Remo said: “There is not one specific incident that I can recall and say as ‘this is a special memory’ that I have of Saroj ji, because she has seen me grow from a struggler to the choreographer I am today. But I have to say that in the last few years, we came closer and I feel fortunate that I worked with Saroj ji in her last work, the ‘Tabah ho gaye’ dance number in the film ‘Kalank’.
