Brahmastra box office prediction: Analysts and exhibitors are hopeful, Ranbir-Alia starrer gets good response in advance booking

There is no doubt about it that the film industry is presently facing its worst time. With back to back flop films coming out everyone is concerned about the industry. A week back all hopes were with Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger, however it failed miserably. Now all eyes are on Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s much talked about film Brahmastra.

Like Liger, this film is also produced by Karan Johar, and the pre-booking figures appear promising. Most trade analysts and exhibitors are optimistic about the film’s opening weekend, with some predicting a pre-pandemic opening for this large ticket feature.

According to trade analyst Girish Wankhede one lakh tickets have been booked for the Brahmastra first day screenings, which began on Friday and were distributed by the three multiplex chains in the nation: PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. After the pandemic, this is the highest number ever, with ticket sales totaling Rs 2.5 crore.

Trade expert Taran Adarsh shared the advance booking status with a tweet that stated, “‘BRAHMĀSTRA’: ADVANCE BOOKING STATUS… Finally, some relief for the industry… Received #Brahmāstra *day-wise data* [advance booking] of *a leading multiplex chain.” He furhter shared tweets mentioning the ticket count and wrote, “Observations.. Tickets sold: 11,558 [veryyy positive start, since advance opened at select locations only]. Fri contribution is 63% of the total ticket sales, followed by Sat [25%] and Sun [12%]

At last, Taran added that the film “Needs to maintain the pace till Thu night for a strong advance status. He further stated, “Mass circuits and spot bookings [when film releases] will play an extremely vital role in *Day 1* [Fri] numbers.” He also produced that, the Saturday and Sunday business will depend on the audience’s reception.

Team Brahmastra hosted a special press conference on Friday in Hyderabad with Jr. NTR from RRR as the special guest. After the film’s grand pre-release event, which was scheduled to take place at Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City, was postponed due to security concerns, Jr. NTR apologised to his supporters and the media.

Later, the Brahmastra cast members Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Nagarjuna Akkineni attended an event that the movie’s team quickly and casually organised in a city hotel. SS Rajamouli, who is presenting the movie in South India, was also present at the occasion. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were also showered with praise and well wishes from Jr. NTR at the press conference for their upcoming endeavours.

Stay tuned to this space for final office collection of Brahmastra.
