Produced by Venkatesh Films, and directed by Srijit Mukherji the shooting for Nirbaak (Speechless) featuring former Miss Universe SushmitaSen is all set to roll on. The actress will end her four-year sabbatical from acting with this Bengali film.Her last release was No Problem in 2010 and she is very excited about debuting in Tollywood finally.Autograph, BaisheSrabon, Hemlock Society, MishawrRahasya and Jaatishwar are the films directed by Srijit Mukherji.Jaatishwar bagged four honours at the 61st National Film Awards, 2014.
“Finally SushmitaSen in Tollywood! In our next production with Srijit Mukherji in ‘Nirbaak’,” Venkatesh Films posted on Twitter.The 38-year-old gorgeous diva confirmed the news by retweeting the producer’s online post.
Four distinct love stories will be weaved in Nirbaak which is to be shot in Kolkata and Mumbai. “Sushmita is a perfect choice because she’s a Bengali actress who hasn’t done a Bengali film yet. Though most of her lines are in Bengali, there are snatches of dialogues in English and Hindi as well.And Sushmita speaks all the three languages fluently,” points out Srijit. “But the focus is more on emoting than mouthing the lines, which explains the title, and Sushmita has very expressive eyes.”
Sushmita will be seen featuring in all the four love stories and will play multiple characters. Nirbaak will be made in Bengali first, but the director is planning a Hindi version as well in order to reach out to multitude.Being questioned about her performance as it’s been 4 years she hasn’t faced camera, the acclaimed director says”I’m not worried that she hasn’t faced the camera in four years, the good thing is that she will face the camera again and that will be for me!”
