Sushmita Sen congratulates Catriona Gray for being the Miss Universe 2018 winner: Check Her Special Message
A big day for Catriona Gray yesterday as she was crowned as Miss Universe 2018. The whole world erupted with huge applauds as the lady bagged the title. So, when the entire world was busy greeting the lady, the former Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen also took this opportunity to wish the lady. If you remember she was the first Indian lady to be crowned as Miss Universe way back in 1994 when she was barely 19 years of age. She went on to become the Bollywood actress and given several good movies to Hindi Cinema.
Despite that long 24 years of winning the crown, she still feels connected to the pageant. Hence the moment she heard about Catriona becoming the new Miss Universe for this year, she was the first to send out greeting with a special message over the microblogging site. The lady from the Philippines this time was lucky to get the crown this year, Sushmita was quick to congratulate the lady. She came on Twitter and posted a message saying that Congrats, another well-deserved victory for the Gray this year.
Interestingly, when Sushmita Sen bagged this title way back in 1994, it was hosted in the Asian country Philippines. So, she has a special connection with this place as it had given her the title, which later gave everything in her life. This year, Angela Ponce a transgender woman too participated, and she was applauded for her efforts in the beauty contest. She managed to make her into the top 20 list. On the other side, the Miss USA was able to make out in top 10.
Catriona Gray won this title after she beat the contestants from 93 different nations. She is the fourth Philippines national to bag this title. From India, we had Nehal Chudasama of Mumbai, who had represented in the competition but she failed to emerge as a winner. Now, Gray is on cloud 9, we wish her for the title she has managed to win.
