Sushant Singh Rajput Case: CBI refuses to give update in Sushant’s case through RTI
Sushant Singh Rajput, a Bollywood star, committed suicide in his Bandra flat over two years ago. His followers and family members are still coming to terms with his untimely death. SSR left for his celestial dwelling on June 14, 2020, for the uninitiated. He was discovered dead at his Bandra house under unexplained circumstances. His untimely death sparked outrage among his followers and family members, who sought justice. The CBI looked into the situation from many angles, and the Narcotics Control Bureau and Enforcement Directorate were also involved in the investigation.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has reportedly failed to release any information in response to an RTI request, according to the most recent update on SSR’s death case. According to ANI, the CBI, which is still probing the issue, has turned down an RTI request for information in the case. “Sushant Singh Rajput case is in the process of investigation,” the news agency said on Twitter, adding that “knowledge on the progress may impair the process of investigation.” “We are unable to give the requested information.”
Sushant’s family had accused his lover Rhea Chakraborty of helping him commit suicide and stealing his money. The Bombay High Court granted her bail 28 days after she was arrested on drug-related allegations in the Sushant Singh Rajput case.
In September 2020, Rhea and her brother Showik were among 15 persons detained on suspicion of arranging drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput. Sushant’s final film, Dil Bechara, was released on Disney+ Hotstar a month after his death.
