Murali Sharma is a known B Town and south Indian film actor who hails from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. He was born on 30th November 1963 in Guntur. His primary and secondary education was completed from his hometown only and soon after completing his education, he headed to Mumbai the city of dreams to make his career in films. Since his school and college days, he loved films and has been active in cultural programs and other extracurricular activities. Once he shifted to Mumbai, he had to struggle a bit to get his first break in the film. He is married to a TV actress called Ashwini Kalsekar and currently resides in Mumbai.

He got his first break with the film called Dil Vil Pyar Vyar in the year 2002 with the film, while his turning point became the film called Maqbool directed by Anurag Kashyap, since then it was not looking back. Some of his movies of his early days include Market, Dhoop, Main Hoon Na, Masti, Karam and Mangal Pandey to name a few, while some of his recent movies include Badlapur, Baby, Dilwale, Dharam Sankat Mein and ABCD 2, while his upcoming movies include Wazir and two Telugu movies called Bhale Bhale Magadivoy and Savithri.

Apart from Hindi and other south Indian films, he has also done a number of TV shows and soaps. These include Siddhanth, Zindagi Teri Meri Kahani, Guns and Roses, Crime Patrol, CID, Hum Ne Li Hai Shapath, which was aired at Life OK during the weekend in the recent times. He is more known for doing negative roles in both the films and TV shows. As per an estimate, he earns 20 to 30 lakhs per film for doing negative roles or supporting actor role in his films. As far as awards are concerned, he is still to get any though he was nominated at a couple of award shows for both TV and silver screen.
