Sunil Dutt 81st Birth Anniversary: Remembering the Veteran Actor
Today, it happens to be the late actor Sunil Dutt’s birth anniversary. It is his 91st birth anniversary of the veteran actor who has given some of the best films including Mother India, Mera Saaya and Padosan to name a few. On this big day, we remember him for his exceptional acting skills and performances in the movie. He has collaborated with BR Chopra with films Gumraah, Waqt, and Hamraaz.Â
He got married to Nargis in 1958 but their togetherness was not eternal as she passed away due to cancer. Interestingly, the two played mother and son in the film Mother India and they got hooked after this film. The actor was also known for his social work and interest in politics. He started his career politics in the early nineties and was known for his work after Bombay Riots for which he was also theatented for life, but it did not stop to work in the riots affected areas mostly in the Muslim areas.Â
He was also the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports during the Congress Government regime in Maharashtra. He has two kids – Priya Dutt and Sanjay Dutt, the former has been the Congress MP from Bombay , while Sanjay Dutt has been a popular actor. The veteran actor died in 2005 with heart attack.
