The recently released movie of Salman Khan – Sultan is doing waves that hit the theatres this Eid. The film has got one of the best opening in the year 2016 and unlike all his previous Eid releases, Sultan has not only done well but has beaten the previous releases in one way or the other. The film has not only done well in the domestic market earning 180 plus crores but also in overseas places.
Interestingly, the global collection for the film has really done well, which comprised of places in the Middle East, Europe, US, Australia and New Zealand. As per reports, the overseas box office collection for Sultan tolled to around 13.50 million, which is somewhere, 90 crores to be precise. In a sense, the Salman Khan starrer film has been phenomenal both in India and abroad.
The movies like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, PK, Dhoom 3, My Name is Khan and others too have done well in the overseas locations. But looking at the pace of Sultan, the movie Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is seen reaching at the greater heights in the top slot of top 10 highest grossing overseas movies.
