Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar is all set to bring the adventures of Archie Andrews and his squad including Veronica, Betty to the big screens. The filmmaker is directing the Hindi adaptation of the popular Archie comics.
She even began shooting for the Zoya Akhtar film and a viral picture from the sets shows Suhana Khan who may be playing Veronica Lodge (the center-parted dark hair and the outfit choice gave it away). While Khushi Kapoor’s look has a striking resemblance to Betty Cooper (because of Betty Cooper’s vest sweaters and skirts and the bangs, of course). Agastya Nanda, will obviously play Archie Andrews.
Characters from the Archie comics have been immortalised in a number of film and cartoon adaptations. Archie Andrews first appeared in Pep Comics and quickly became a pop culture icon as a standalone character.

In an Instagram post last year, Zoya Akhtar disclosed about the project. Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, and Sharad Devarajan will co-produce the Hindi adaptation of The Archie comics through their production companies Tiger Baby and Graphic India.
She wrote: “Archie and the Crew are about to get Down and Desi! ‘The Archies’ A coming-of-age musical drama directed by me. Coming soon to Netflix.”
Suhana, Agastya, and Khushi have a background in acting. Suhana Khan, the daughter of actor Shah Rukh Khan and interior designer Gauri Khan, inherited her father’s passion for acting.
Agastya Nanda is the son of businessman Nikhil Nanda and author Shweta Bachchan Nanda. He is the grandson of Bollywood legends Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan. Khushi Kapoor is the late Sridevi’s and film producer Boney Kapoor’s daughter. Janhvi Kapoor, her sister, has also appeared in Bollywood films.
