Varun Dhawan, known for his role as Bhediya, makes a special cameo in Shraddha Kapoor’s upcoming film Stree 2, featured in the new song “Khoobsurat.” Varun teased fans on Instagram with a sneak peek of the song, writing, “Iss Stree ki khoobsurti ka kaun hai yeh naya aashiq? #Khoobsurat Song Out Tomorrow! #Stree2, the legend returns this Independence Day, 15th August.” The full song is set to release on August 9. Notably, Shraddha previously made a cameo in “Thumkeshwari,” a song from Varun’s 2022 film Bhediya.
Recently, the makers of this horror-comedy unveiled another song titled “Tumhare Hi Rahenge Hum,” featuring RajKummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. The lyrics, penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, are performed by Varun Jain, Shilpa Rao, and Sachin-Jigar. The production team, Maddock Films, shared the song on Instagram, highlighting the chemistry between Shraddha and RajKummar’s characters. Shraddha expressed her excitement, stating, “Intezaar hua hai khatam kyunki tumhare they, tumhare hain, tumhare hi rahenge… hum #TumhareHiRahengeHum – OUT NOW! #Stree2, the legend returns this Independence Day, 15th August 2024.”

In Stree 2, Shraddha and Rajkummar reprise their roles alongside Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee. The film promises to bring back the spooky yet humorous world where the legendary Stree continues to haunt men. The highly anticipated trailer introduces a new threat to the people of Chanderi, as Pankaj Tripathi’s character reveals the menace of Sarkata, who threatens to abduct all the village’s women.
Tamannaah Bhatia will also make a special appearance in a dance number, showcasing her captivating moves in a stunning green outfit. The film, directed by Amar Kaushik, hits theaters on August 15, following the success of the original Stree, released in 2018.
Besides Stree 2, Varun Dhawan is set to star in Sunny Sanskari ki Tulsi Kumari, directed by Shashank Khaitan, alongside Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, and more. He has also wrapped up the first schedule of an untitled comedy film with Mrunal Thakur, marking their first collaboration. This film will be Varun’s fourth project with director David Dhawan, known for hits like Main Tera Hero and Judwaa 2. Additionally, Varun will appear in the action thriller Baby John and the Indian adaptation of the Hollywood series Citadel, opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
