Amar Kaushik’s highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 horror-comedy Stree has officially landed on OTT platforms. The film, featuring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana, is now available for viewers, but with a twist.

Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank debuted on Prime Video this week, and can be rented for ₹349. This rental grants viewers 48 hours of access to the film from their first play, allowing for a cozy viewing experience at home. Additionally, renters can watch the film anytime within 30 days of purchase. For those who prefer to wait, the film will be available for free streaming starting October 11, just in time for Dussehra. It’s worth noting that Stree 2 is still playing in theaters as well.

Stree 2 Box Office Collection:

When Stree 2 hit theaters on August 15 for Independence Day, it took everyone by surprise with its impressive box office performance. According to producers Maddock Films, the film grossed a remarkable ₹713 crore net in India, with a domestic net collection of ₹604.22 crore. It has also performed well globally since its release, outpacing other films that debuted on the same day, including Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham and Sharvari’s Vedaa.

Written by Niren Bhatt, Stree 2 continues the story from its predecessor, set in the town of Chanderi, which is plagued by a new menace named Sarkata. Vicky and his friends enlist the help of Shraddha’s enigmatic character and Stree to combat this threat. Varun Dhawan makes a cameo, reprising his role as Bhediya, while Tamannaah Bhatia appears in a special dance number titled “Aaj Ki Raat.”
