SS Rajamouli explains why Ayan Mukerji was not present at the grand pre-release event of Brahmastra at Hyderabad

Ayan Mukerji is one of Bollywood’s ace filmmakers. He entered the industry with critically acclaimed film Wake Up Sid, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Konkana Sen. His previous film, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, starred Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. The film was a smashing hit that catapulted Ayan Mukerji to stardom.

The idea of Brahmastra was conceived during the shoot of YJHD. The filmmaker has been working on his dream project for over a decade now and that’s only the part one.

The film will finally be released next week, and we can’t wait to see what it’s all about. Apart from the cast of Brahmastra, a grand pre-release press conference was held in Hyderabad, which was attended by notable dignitaries such as SS Rajamouli and Jr NTR.

SS Rajamouli is one of the most successful Indian filmmakers of all time. RRR, the director’s most recent film, is in contention to be India’s official entry to the Oscars. Brahmastra will be shown in the southern states of India by the filmmaker. Ayan Mukerji did not attend the pre-release press conference in Hyderabad, and SS Rajamouli explained why the director was not present on such an important promotional day for the film.

The Baahubali director said, “Ayan couldn’t come to this event because there is some work left on the film. I could see myself in him. I asked him to stay back and finish the film, and we are taking care of the film. He couldn’t come here, but his heart is definitely here.”

This declaration by Rajamouli highlight Ayan’s dedication to the endeavour and his gratitude for the opportunity to represent the movie and lend his credibility in the region. The movie, which is a passion project, is known to be the most expensive ever made in India. The movie opens on 8000 screens worldwide, which is a record for an Indian movie.

Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Akkineni, Mouni Roy, and Shah Rukh Khan all play important roles in Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva. The movie will be released on September 9th, but preview screenings will begin on Thursday.
