Of late, #Metoo Campaign has become a scary thing for the B Town actors. It has sacked many Bollywood celebrities when any female worker has voiced against them giving them a bad name to them. Many actors have kept their views on it and this time it would be interesting to check what King Khan has to say on it. SRK feels that the #MeToo movement although it has its origin in the west but it has now become a global platform giving voice to women to share their stories of sexual harassment and abuse.
The Fan actor said that this movement has shown the light on the ill-treatment women have been getting in the modern-day workplaces. He said that it has come from the west but has given opportunity to the Indian women working in mainstream places in different sectors and opening up their story making the culprits go at the back foot. He said that the ladies raising their voices were heard and supported by many thus getting the justice which they have been wanting since they were treated badly at their workplaces by their male bosses.
The actor was expressing his views in one of the interviews with BBC journalist in a program called “Talking Movies” by Tom Brook. The actor feels that things would change now in the movie world all across the world as it has made everyone aware of the issue. He said that people acting against women would now fear for their wrongdoings and thus would start behaving right at the workplaces particularly with the women. Talking about his work, he has a couple of ventures lined up, however, he is yet to announce anything officially as he is talking with many filmmakers.
