SRK

When the world is losing its touch from the Postal Department thanks to the other popular means of communication, the actor Shah Rukh Khan has stood up for it and asked to use the postal services to revive it in the age of the internet. He was present at the event of the postal department to release postal stamp on the eve of 130 years of its completion at the Heritage Bandra Railway Station in Mumbai. The event was organized at the premises of the station in the presence of School Education Minister Ashish Shelar A.K. Gupta the Western Railway General Manager.

While talking on the event, he said he has many emotions attached to letter writing. He said the emotions include romantic, lovely and beautiful when it comes to letter writing. However, he said that in the modern times of the internet, postal services seem to lag behind. He added that the way the railway and postal department have come together to release a postal stamp at the railway station is an interesting and commendable effort.

He then asked people to use the postal services to its best. He then suggested that the postal department can have their digital version to sustain in this modern-day internet world. He said there is a romance in writing letters and one should not miss that. He then expressed his happiness for calling him for the event. Sharing the iconic scene from his film DDLJ he said that the climax of the film was shot in a railway station. Talking about his work, he is busy with some of his web series which are all set to hit the streaming media.
