Srinish Nair is known for his popular role in the serial Pranayam as Sharan G Menon. He plays the lead male role in the serial with the female lead played by Varada. Pranayam is a family drama in which Sharan, father of an eight year old daughter struggles to win her custody from his divorced wife.
Srinish was born in Palakkad district in Kerala. As his father worked in Chennai city, Srinish spent his childhood in the city. Following this he went to Amritsar to finish his studies. Later with the dreams to make a mark in acting, Srinish finished a short course in acting and film making from Chennai itself. This opened many avenues for him in acting in the south industry. Before he bagged acting opportunities, he worked in the software industry during his struggling period.
Srinish continued with modeling while he tried his luck in Tamil films. He acted in a short film Uzhir Ezhuthu. As this film received the Best short Film Award, Srinish got noticed for his work and this paved for way or many other roles. Later he also acted in Rise Up, another Tamil short film.
It was these short films that brought Srinish in the notice of Malayalam serial makers. In the serial Pranayam, Srinish’s character is a well intention father who compromises with his enemies for the safety of his daughter. He is a loving husband to his now wife Lakshmi. The character is simple and loving for which Srinish is admired by the Malayalee audience.
