Tom Cruise starrer Top Gun: Maverick to premiere on Prime Video on THIS date
Tom Cruise aced his role as Pete Mitchell in a remarkably successful Marvel movie, Top Gun: Maverick. The Hollywood film had a thunderous run and broke many records at the box office. A piece of Interesting news for all its fans is that the film is going to premiere on OTT. So they can watch it again on the streaming platform, Amazon Prime Video. Previously, it was available to rent on this platform.
As per the latest announcement, Top Gun: Maverick will steam in India on Prime Video on December 26. Produced by ‘Paramount Pictures,’ it is a sequel to the Tom Cruise starrer 1986 classic success. It will be accessible in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Kannada, and Malayalam on the platform.

Recently, Prime Video dropped a release date announcement video in its Instagram post. Taking to Instagram, the streaming giant wrote, “ALL SET TO TAKE-OFF ON A NEW ADVENTURE AND A NOSTALGIA RIDE LIKE NEVER BEFORE. #TopGunMaverickOnPrime, Dec 26,”
The plot of this phenomenal movie is established 30 years after the events of Tony Scott directed Top Gun which saw Maverick guiding a bunch of Top gun graduates in an advanced task.
The next season brings Tom Cruise in his previous character of US Naval pilot Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell. Besides the actor, the other cast includes Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Monica Barbaro, Jay Ellis, Charles Parnell, Bashir Salahuddin, Danny Ramirez, Greg Tarzan Davis with Ed Harris, and Val Kilmer.
The film which was made under the direction of Joseph Kosinski went on to become the highest-earning movie of 2022. It reportedly earned USD 1.488 billion globally. It also won many awards and was nominated for the Critics Choice Movie Award for best film and the Golden Globe Award for the best motion picture.
