Sooryavanshi makers are eyeing for a Republic Day 2021 Release
It was in April 2020 when the cop drama film Sooryavanshi was supposed to be released. However, it was then pushed ahead due to the lockdown announced by the Indian PM. Now, as things unlock, we see in the fifth stage the same seeing the opening of the theatres. The guideline for the theatre owners is to function with 50 per cent occupancy for obvious reasons. As time passes, things would prosper and things would move smooth.
As per reports, the Reliance Entertainment CEO Shibasish Sarkar had earlier announced that they are planning to release in Diwali 2020 but things did not work and they again pushed the release date of the film. Now, as per reports, the makers are now gearing up for the release on Republic Day 2021. Yes, you heard it right, the earlier plans to get the film released in Diwali and then in Christmas have been shifted to Republic Day eve.
We know Akshay Kumar is fond of such events like Independence Day, Republic Day and other national holidays as well and we have seen several of his movies releasing on these days. So Sooryavanshi is certainly not an exception. This is his first film with Rohit Shetty who has produced similar movies with Ajay Devgn the Singham series and then Ranveer Singh with Simmba. Also, Kabir Khan is planning to release his film 83 in 2021 and if reports are to be believed he may opt for the same day thus witnessing the clash of the two. Well, lets see how things would move but at the moment things are rosy now.
