Samantha Ruth Prabhu Plans Acting Break after Completing Citadel

Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been busy traveling across Europe shooting for her films Kushi and Citadel. However, her fans may be disappointed to hear that she plans to take a break after completing her current projects. Samantha is currently undergoing treatment for her autoimmune disease, Myositis, and she needs time to recuperate after her hectic schedule.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu revealed that she was diagnosed with Myositis during the release of her film Yashoda last year. She assured her fans that she was undergoing treatment and would continue to work. She took a brief break from work to focus on her health, but she has now wrapped up her projects Kushi and Citadel. It is rumored that she will be taking a break from the industry for almost a year to focus on her health.

A source close to the actress confirmed the break, saying, “Sam is definitely taking a break, but only for a few months to focus on her health. She had a crazy year with back-to-back shoots, and she needs some time to rest and recharge. She will start prepping for her new projects soon after the break.”

Samantha Ruth Prabhu started 2023 with the promotions of her Pan-India film Shaakuntalam, which released in April. She will next be seen in the romantic comedy Kushi alongside Vijay Deverakonda. The film will explore their romantic chemistry for the first time and will be released on September 1 in multiple languages.

In addition to Kushi, Samantha will be starring in the upcoming Indian spin-off of Citadel, which will stream on Prime Video. She will be sharing screen space alongside Varun Dhawan for the first time in this project.
