The film Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety by Luv Ranjan having Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh in the lead role have done a decent business so far. As per reports, the film has entered into the 100 Crore Club informed the known trade analyst Taran Adarsh on the social media platform. With this, SKTKS has become second B Town film to cross the 100 crore mark in the year 2018 after the Bhansali movie “Padmaavat”, which seems to have earned around INR 300 crore. The trade pundit called the film to be unstoppable as it entered into the 100 crore club.
The film on an average is still making around 1.27 crore on each passing day to finally make it into the 100 crore club. The film was released on 23rd February and it took three weeks to enter into the 100 crore club. In fact, it was on its fourth weekend the film has achieved this target. Others like Pad Man and Aiyaari and other failed to pick up despite having so much of buzz in the media. This has made the film SKTKS to be the fourth highest earning movie in any weekend after the films like Padmaavat and Raid.
Talking to the media the director of the film Luv Ranjan said that he always knew that his film would do better at the box office as it has the appeal factor for the youth. He then said that though the critics and others called the movie to be anti-women or misogynistic in nature yet he didn’t pay heed to it as he believes looking beyond the criticism. The film had a clash with Sonakshi Sinha and Diljit Dosanjh starrer film Welcome To New York yet it managed to score more than any other film. This was the fourth film of Kartik and Nushrat with the director after doing the Pyaar Ka Punchnama series and Akash Vani.
