Sonakshi Sinha to feature in ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi Returns’; To share screen with Diana Penty
The 2016 release ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ starring Diana Penty, Abhay Deol, Jimmy Shergill and Ali Fazal was a great success at the box-office. This cross-border comedy of errors was directed by Mudassar Aziz was very much loved by the audience and now, it is soon landing with the sequel. The talks about the same were on from many months and the latest news report stated that Sonakshi Sinha will feature in the sequel titled ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi Returns’. As of now, there is no official news update regarding the same. The grapevine tweeted that Sonakshi will step into the shoes of Happy, however nothing has been confirmed yet and the reports are said to be partly true.
Even if Sonakshi will star in the movie, it will also have the original “Happy” Diana Penty on board. Talking about being a part of this sequel, Sonakshi said “I’m thrilled to be on board of this really positive, vibrant and most importantly happy film unit! I loved the first part and I hope this one is bigger and better in every way! Cannot wait to start shooting!”
The lead star of the original ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’, Diana Penty spoke about the sequel by saying “’Happy Bhag Jayegi’ was a special film for me, so being part of ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi Returns’ is like going back to family! ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ was a fun, roller-coaster of a ride and I’m sure this one is going to be as much of a riot! I’m looking forward to the shoot.”
The director is glad about the happiness spread by the original film among the viewers and he is looking forward to double the fun this time with the next instalment. Anand L Rai said that the happy-ness quotient will be passed on by Diana to Sonakshi in this film and it will roll this month.
