Shraddha Kapoor Announces Animated Theatrical Film Chhoti Stree; Dinesh Vijan Reveals It Will End with a Scene from Stree 3
At the trailer launch of Maddock Films’ highly anticipated movie Thamma, actress Shraddha Kapoor, producer Dinesh Vijan, director Aditya Sarpotdar, and writer Niren Bhatt made an exciting announcement about the expanding Maddock Horror Comedy Universe.
Shraddha Kapoor shared her enthusiasm, saying, “This is my favorite part of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe. When Dinoo (Dinesh Vijan) told me about it, I said, ‘You should really be called Dinesh Vision!’” She then revealed, “Maddock is coming out with Chhoti Stree, an animated film that will release in theatres. It’s going to be a fun film for kids, families—basically for everyone.”Producer Dinesh Vijan added more details: “Stree is loved by both kids and adults.
What’s special about Chhoti Stree is how Amar and Niren have conceptualized it. The film will end with a scene from Stree 3, transitioning from animation to live-action. It will also explore the backstory of Stree. The animated film will release about six months before Stree 3.”Another highlight of the event was the launch of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe logo.
Shraddha praised Dinesh Vijan’s vision, saying, “He expanded this universe a lot after Stree, giving us films like Bhediya, Munjya, and now Thamma is ready to release. We’re all in for more fun. Being part of such films is very special.”She continued, “We want to make films rooted in our culture, and thankfully, the audience is embracing that. It’s amazing to be part of moving Indian cinema forward.
Forget foreign universes—this is our very own desi horror-comedy universe!” Thamma, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and is set to release this Diwali.
