Despite having little pre-release buzz and the existence of Brahmastra, this film has managed to earn a respectable amount at the box office, unlike several of the so-called recent pan-Indian movies. The Hanu Raghavapudi-directed movie first debuted on August 5 in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. When it was released, the movie received favourable reviews from critics and viewers alike. It went on to become a huge box office hit, earning a sizable profit for the distributors.
Speaking of Sita Ramam in Hindi, it was released a week ago on September 2nd, just in time for Brahmastra.
But even after the magnum opus opened in theatres, this Dulquer Salmaan-starring movie kept finding success with its target audience. According to trade statistics, the movie grossed approximately 5 crores after two weeks. Given that Sita Ramam (Hindi) had few showings and no pre-release excitement, the statistics are respectable. In reality, it’s a bonus because enormous gains have already been realised.
In India, Sita Ramam has amassed a total revenue of approximately 60 crores (all languages included). It has made about 90 crores in gross revenue worldwide.
Meanwhile, Mrunal Thakur’s fan base has grown significantly as a result of Sita Ramam’s enormous success. In less than a month, the actress’s social media following jumped from 4.6 million to 5.3 million. Following the release of the movie, her admirers are gushing about her on social media.
