A big news there for the Btown lovers. Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s upcoming film Vvan is set to release in theaters on August 28, 2026, coinciding with the Raksha Bandhan holiday. The film, a folklore-driven thriller, is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures in collaboration with The Viral Fever (TVF). Directed by Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Mishra, Vvan promises a cinematic experience rooted in Indian folklore with a large-scale visual treatment.
The excitement around the film increased after Prime Video announced acquiring its post-theatrical streaming rights at the It Starts Here event. During the event, a teaser was exclusively revealed, giving audiences a first glimpse of the film’s visual tone and narrative style. Ektaa R Kapoor described the project as a genre-defying exploration of Indian folklore, enhanced with state-of-the-art VFX for the big screen. “Indian folklore has been a part of all of us. I’ve never had a producer narrate a film to me from start to finish,” he said.
Talking about the film, it has Tamannaah Bhatia, who stars alongside Sidharth, expressed her excitement about working with him. “It’s been a dream to collaborate with Sid.
