Sidharth Malhotra Talks about his colourful character Abhay Singh in Jabariya Jodi
August is going to take us through laughter and love with upcoming RomCom ‘Jabariya Jodi’. The trailer just dropped-in a few days ago. The movie features cute Jodi from ‘Hasee toh Phasee’ with hunk Sidharth Malhotra and bubbly Parineeti Chopra. The lovely Jodi is all set to create the magic all over again.
We are so excited to watch Parineeti and Malhotra together with their great on-screen chemistry. The Jodi just spells out pure cuteness.
Talking about Sidharth’s character ‘Abhay Singh’ is one of its own kinds. He will be seen in a never-before avatar. During a recent interview, Sidharth shared more about his character and what all he liked about it.
Talking to Mumbai Mirror, Sidharth shared that it was really important to get the look and styling right since the character was a colourful one. He said, “We decided to give him an earring, several rings on his fingers and colored hair. After that, I worked on the accent, which is a blend of Bhojpuri, and Magahi spoken in Patna.”
Further, it is not easy to live this character, Sidharth revealed that he was trained to speak in that accent for almost like two months. “It was a part of a two-month workshop before the shoot. I also worked on it on my own since I had a certain body language to carry through the film.” He also added that he was drawn to this appealing character because the story is fresh. He wanted to work hard and leave a mark after performing this character.
After the release of Jabariya Jodi, Sidharth is getting busier day by day. He will be seen with Tara Sutaria in Marjaavaan and then in Shershaah with Kiara Advani.
Jabariya Jodi is all set to release on 2nd of August 2019. We are so excited about it.
