Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia Unveil ‘The Legend Of Vvan’ Comic at Mumbai Comic Con

In a unique promotional move, the team behind the upcoming film Vvan: Force Of The Forest launched an official comic book, The Legend Of Vvan, at Mumbai Comic Con on Saturday, May 9. While films are often adapted from existing comics, the makers of Vvan have reversed the trend by creating a comic book to expand upon the film’s original world before its theatrical debut.
A Roaring Response at Comic Con
Thousands of fans gathered at the pop-culture convention to catch a glimpse of the lead pair, Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia. Despite a nearly hour-long delay, the energy remained high, with Tamannaah receiving an especially enthusiastic welcome from the crowd.
Highlights from the Event
Sidharth’s Witty Remark: Discussing the comic book cover—which features him on a motorcycle with Tamannaah riding pillion—Sidharth joked about the fan reaction. “Vvan as a team is super excited,” he said. “Most of the boys are very upset that I am in front covering Tamannaah!”
A New Cinematic Universe: Producer Ektaa R Kapoor teased that the film is the “genesis of a whole new world” filled with Easter eggs. She noted that the story is not based on existing folklore but is designed to spark conspiracy theories and fan fiction.
The Creators: The comic book was brought to life by creators Alok Sharma and Saumin Patel, who joined the cast and crew (including Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Mishra) on stage.
