As per the latest buzz, the filmmaker Siddharth has now acquired the exclusive screen rights of the best selling book of 2019, The Anarchy: The Relentless Rise of the East India Company, Deadline by the writer William Dalrymple to convert into a series. Yes, you heard it right, Kapur is now planning to convert this non-fiction book into series for the digital audience.
While talking about the same, Sidharth Roy Kapur while talking to Deadline said this is an interesting cross border collaboration as it gives opportunity to the talents not just to the people of US or the UK but also to India. The Indian writers are going to have the local perspective, texture, flavour, and character when it comes to the structure and even at times to the magnitude. He further said a lot of help can be added by the local authors and the writers from the west.
