Siddhant Chaturvedi Denies Role in Dear Comrade Hindi Remake: “No Remakes for Me Anymore”

Siddhant Chaturvedi has publicly denied rumours linking him to the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit Dear Comrade. Following similar clarifications from Pratibha Ranta, Siddhant took to social media to dispel speculation and set the record straight, as fans eagerly awaited updates on the bilingual project.Recent reports had suggested that Siddhant, fresh from his role in Dhadak 2, and Laapataa breakout Pratibha Ranta were being considered as the lead pair for the Hindi remake of the 2019 romantic action drama, which originally starred Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna.
According to sources, prominent production houses were in early talks to bring the story to Hindi-speaking audiences, fueling buzz around the casting choices. In response to the swirling rumours, Siddhant took to Instagram Stories to firmly deny his involvement. “Just to clarify guys, this isn’t true,” he wrote, directly addressing the speculation. He also shared his creative stance on remakes, stating, “No remakes for me anymore, even though I’m a fan of the original film and the actors, much love and respect. Thank you.” This comment makes clear his preference to focus on original projects going forward.
Despite distancing himself from the remake, Siddhant expressed admiration for Pratibha Ranta and openness to collaborating with her on original work. “Anyhow I’d love to collaborate with the supremely talented @pratibha_ranta on something original. Looking forward,” he added. Earlier, Pratibha Ranta had also addressed rumours on Instagram, neither confirming nor denying involvement but urging fans and media to refrain from spreading unverified information until an official announcement is made.

She highlighted that such speculation has caused confusion, as she has been linked to projects she is not associated with. Dear Comrade, directed by Bharat Kamma, was a well-received Telugu romantic action drama released in 2019, known for its emotional storytelling and memorable music. Interest in a Hindi remake grew after reports that major studios had acquired the rights, though no official production or casting announcements have been made. Meanwhile, Siddhant is preparing for his next film, Do Deewane Seher Mein, co-starring Mrunal Thakur, which is slated for release around Valentine’s week in February 2026.
