Sid Makkar is an actor active in films and TV shows. He was born on 15th May in Amritsar, Punjab. He did his schooling from Bombay International School, and completed his graduation and then headed to Mumbai to make his career in films. He joined theatre working with plays like Zangoora – Zangoora, Where did I Leave my Purdah with Vinay, Suhel and Dushyant and Lift Kara De – Goldy and Art – Serge. He then got the chance to enter the small screen starting with the show Dariba Diaries playing Mirza Jaan Nawaz, Mere Apne playing Shankar, Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan as Satyakaam Kapadia.
He then was seen in films Lajwanti playing Sunderlal Bharadwaj followed by Ye Hai Mohabbatein playing Vidyut in it. He was also seen in the web series include Spotlight and Rain. He then got the chance to work in film as well starting with The Second Best Exotic Marigold sizzlingel playing the character called Jay. The other films of Sid Makkar include Save Your Legs! – Tusshar Rai, Offshore, Turning 30 as Rishabh Puri in his initial days.
He then was seen in other films as well like Dus Tola as Ravi, Straight as Rajat, Luck by Chance as Sameer Farhan Akhtar, Kis Kis Ki Kismat playing the character Chaurahen and the debut called Talk to Me released in 2011. He was also the part of an Australian sports movie titled Save Your Legs! and in one of the US-based venture known as Offshore. Talking about his personal life he is married to Ankita Sharma whom he dated for few years before getting married to her in 2007. He also acted in a short film called Talk To Me. His upcoming movie is Hacked with Hina Khan, which is releasing in Feb 2020.
