Shruti Haasan tests positive of COVID-19
Actress Shruti Haasan took to her social media handle to inform her fans that she has been diagnosed with COVID-19
Taking to her Instagram handle, the actor shared a photo that read, “Hi everyone! A quick not so fun update. Despite all safety measures I have tested positive for Covid. I’m on the mend and can’t wait to be back very soon! Thank you and see you soon lovelies.”
As soon as she posted the photo, her fans and fellow members of the film industry started sharing get-well-soon messages in the comments section.
“Loads of love and tc Shruti Haasan u will be back and healthier soon,” director Siddharth Malhotra wrote. “Damn!!! Get well soon love!! Hugs and strength to you,” singer Sophie Choudry chimed in.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shruti’s was recently seen in the web series ‘Bestseller’ which was released on February 18 on Amazon Prime Video. She played a small town girl Meetu Mathur in the series. The show is directed by Mukul Abhyankar and produced by Suddharth Malhotra. Bestseller also stars Mithun Chakroborty, Sattajeet Dubey, Gauhar Khan and Arjun Bajwa.
Earlier ANI quoted her as saying, “I found it really interesting to play a part like Meetu because her arc is so interesting. The common thing if I had to say is that Meetu is a very determined person, a fan, a determined woman. I always love to walk away with the mood or the fragrance or the memory of the character. And I think what I got in this series is to meet another character that is really determined. So, I love remembering those experiences.”
She also has a thriller film titled ‘Salaar’ in the pipeline.
