Shiva Rajkumar was born with a name Putta Swamy, who kept the former name for the screen name. He is a known actor, producer, playback singer, and TV host best known for his work in Kannada cinema. He did his schooling in T Nagar, Chennai and then studied at the New College, Chennai doing his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry doing his debut screen appearance in movie from Kannada in the year 1986 followed by the other movies like Anand, Ratha Sapthami and Mana Mechchida Hudugi. All the movies were regarded as successful that earned him the title Hattrick Hero. It been 28 year, he has worked in more than 100 movie in around more than two decades.
Shiva Rajkumar was seen making his acting career with the film Anand in the year 1986. He has acted in a number of roles with one of the most notable movies include Janumada Jodi, Anand, Jogi, Ratha Sapthami, Nammoora Mandara Hoove, Om, and Chigurida Kanasu to name a few. He acted in Sugreeva, which was shot in 18 hours followed by Upendra seen being set a trend of gangster movies in Kannada and other south film industries in India. In the year he did Bhajarangi, which was a box-office success, and thus was seen running for more than 100 days. The film was seen getting released in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
Talking about hi awards and honors, he had a couple. He has won four Filmfare along and four state awards in the best actor category. He then won a number Cine-Express, Sirigannada, ETV awards. The Honorary Awards include SIIMA Award for Social Responsibility in the year 2012 and Karnataka State Awards for Om, Hrudaya Hrudaya, Chigurida Kanasu and Jogi the South Indian International Movie Awards for Shiva in the year 2012.
