The moment the first look of the film Shimla Mirchi hit social media, it turned out to be a viral movie in B Town. The much-hyped film was supposed to hit the screens this Friday on 3rd Jan 2020, but now we have a different update that suggests that the film would hit only the digital platform. The film happens to be colorful musical extravaganza and it will not hit the screens as the makers have kept the film only for the digital platform.
As per sources close to the makers, Shimla Mirchi remains the debut directorial venture of his career sprawling to two decades. The film happens to be his debut venture for digital media, and interestingly the makers have not asked the star cast of the film about this decision. The reports suggest that forget about the cast of the film including Hema Malini and Rajkummar Rao being taken into confidence on the release issue, they were not even informed about the same.
Sources close to Sippy claimed that the director of the film seemed miffed about this decision stating how can Mr. Ramesh decide on his own. They further claimed that the film was made with a meager budget of around 16 Crores and the makers could have taken the chance of releasing the same in the screens as well. The film happens to be based on small-town romances and makers feel that it may not work in the theatres. Many are surprised to see such a decision being taken from Ramesh Sippy.
