Shehnaaz Gill’s reaction to being trolled for enjoying life after Siddharth Shukla’s death
In September of last year, actor Sidharth Shukla died of a heart attack at the age of 40. His sad death stunned the entire film industry, particularly his rumored girlfriend Shehnaaz Gill, who was crushed and lived in denial for months. The actress stayed out of the spotlight and avoided discussing Sidharth’s sad demise in public. Shehnaaz Gill has spoken up for the first time about her relationship with Shukla, as well as being harassed for appearing ‘happy’ following Sidharth Shukla’s death.
Shilpa Shetty‘s chat show ‘Shape of You’ featured Shehnaaz Gill, who was asked about being ridiculed for living her life after Shukla’s death. Sidharth always wanted her to be happy, according to the Bigg Boss 13 participant. “If I get the chance to laugh, then I will laugh, I will stay happy. If I feel like celebrating Diwali then I will celebrate Diwali. Because happiness is very important in life. I also try to do that by myself. Today is the first time I am talking about this and it’s only because you are asking me to. Otherwise, I never talk about these things no matter who says what,” Shahnaz Gill said.
She added, “Sidharth ne mujhe kabhi nahi bola ki has mat. Sidharth mujhe hamesha haste hue dekhna chahta tha, aur mai hamesha hasungi, aur mai apna kaam jari rakhungi kyunki mujhe bahot aage jaana hai life mein.” In viral videos and photos, that surfaced after three months of Sidharth’s death, Shehnaaz was seen dancing and smiling as at a friend’s engagement party. Many trolled her for looking happy and dancing at the party.
The Honsla Rakh actress also discussed her relationship with Sidharth and stated that she did not need to explain her feelings for him or how important they were to each other to anyone. “Why should I tell anyone about Sidharth’s relationship? I don’t need to answer anyone, what was my connection with him, what was my relationship with him. I knew how essential he was to me and how important I was to him. As a result, I won’t have to explain myself to anyone,” Shahnaz Gill further said.

Shehnaaz Gill and Sidharth met on Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss 13 and their deep friendship left everyone in awe of them. Their fans affectionately dubbed them SidNaaz. Shehnaaz Gill offered an emotional tribute to Sidharth on Bigg Boss 15’s big finale earlier this year.
