Directed by Aanand L Rai, this upcoming film will once again feature the talented duo of Kangana Ranaut and R. Madhavan, who have won over audiences with their charm in the earlier films.

Since its debut in 2011, Tanu Weds Manu quickly became a sleeper hit, paving the way for a successful sequel in 2015. The second film not only performed exceptionally well at the box office but also made history as the highest-grossing Hindi feature film led by a female protagonist. Despite a strong fan demand for a third film, official announcements had remained elusive—until now.

According to Pinkvilla, Aanand L Rai and his writing partner, Himanshu Sharma, have finally locked in the plot for Tanu Weds Manu 3. A source close to the project revealed, “Tanu Weds Manu 3 beautifully continues from where the first two parts left off. It’s a true sequel, with a story that naturally leads into a trilogy.”Maintaining the franchise’s signature blend of humor, romance, and drama, the third installment promises to deliver more of what fans love. The source added, “Staying true to the essence of the first two films, the third part will mix humor with romance and drama.

The basic idea is set, and the plan is to start filming in the latter half of 2025.”In an exciting twist, Kangana Ranaut will take on a triple role for the first time in her career, while Madhavan will reprise his iconic character. Kangana is eager to explore this new challenge, as it will allow her to showcase different facets of her talent.Filming for Tanu Weds Manu 3 is expected to commence around July or August 2025, following Aanand L Rai’s current project, Tere Ishk Mein, starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon. Meanwhile, Kangana is preparing for the release of her upcoming film, Emergency.
