Sharmaji Namkeen: BTown celebrities pay tribute to the legend Rishi Kapoor by performing on Om Shanti Om

Ahead of the release of Sharmaji Namkeen, our Bollywood stars including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ananya Panday and many more came together to pay tribute to the legend actor Rishi Kapoor. All these actors came together with a power-packed performance on Rishi Kapoor’s iconic track Om Shanti Om.

Amazon Prime Video took its social media handle to share the video. The video’s caption read, “people might not but their legacy stays forever ✨ A tribute to the legendary Mr. Rishi Kapoor Sir ? celebrating his scrumptious era that curtains with a story very special #SharmajiNamkeenOnPrime March 31”

Earlier Ranbir Kapoor had shared a heartfelt message to all the viewers. In the video shared by Farhan Akhtar, Ranbir revealed that Rishi Kapoor’s unfortunate demise resulted in the makers trying VFX. He remembers his father with a phrase saying, “You must have heard ‘The show must go on’, but I’ve seen Papa live his life.” The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor also added that ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ will always be my one of the most fondest memories of my father. Up on the screen, bringing a smile to his countless fans,”

A heartwarming story of self-realization and discovery, ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ is based on the life of a recently retired man who discovers his passion for cooking after joining a riotous women’s kitty circle.

Sharmaji Namkeen is directed by Hitesh Bhatia and produced by Excel Entertainment in association with MacGuffin Pictures. It stars the late Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal, both of whom play the titular character, alongside Juhi Chawla, Suhail Nayyar, Taaruk Raina, Satish Kaushik, Sheeba Chaddha, and Isha Talwar. The movie will premiere on Prime Video on March 31.
