Koffee With Karan: Katrina Kaif revealed Vicky Kaushal was never on her ‘radar’
Filmmaker Karan Johar’s show Koffee With Karan season 7 is getting all the twists and turns with every passing episode. In the forthcoming episode, actress Katrina Kaif stated that her husband-actor Vicky Kaushal was never on her ‘radar.’ Katrina will appear on the tenth edition of Karan Johar’s chat show, along with Ishaan Khatter and Siddharth Chaturvedi. Koffee With Karan will be available on Disney+ Hotstar on Thursday at midnight.
Katrina said in the show, “I did not even know much about him. He was just a name I had heard but had never associated with. But then, when I met him, I was won over.” According to the actor, the first person she told about her crush on Vicky Kaushal was director Zoya Akhtar, at whose party they met.
The star described her romance as “unexpected and out of the blue,” and said, “It was my destiny and it was really meant to be. There were so many coincidences that at one point all of it just felt so unreal.”
Katrina and Vicky tied the knot in Rajasthan on December 9, 2021. The rituals were attended by intimate friends and family members.
Karan Johar tweeted a promo clip from the forthcoming episode on Instagram. Discussions of ‘suhaag raat’ (wedding night) began during a talk. When Alia Bhatt arrived on the show, Katrina objected to her rejecting the concept of ‘suhaag raat’ as a myth. Karan informed Katrina of Alia’s remark that she was too exhausted to accomplish anything on her wedding night. When asked about her personal case, Katrina replied, “Why can’t it be suhaag din (wedding day).”
Katrina will next be featured in the forthcoming horror comedy thriller Phone Bhoot, which will star Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter and will be released in theatres on November 4, 2022. She also co-stars in Merry Christmas with actor Vijay Sethupathi. Katrina will also appear in Tiger 3 with Salman Khan, which is set to be released on April 23, 2023.
