Shahid Kapoor Loses 14 kilos for his film Kabir Singh

Shahid Kapoor is known for getting into the skin of the assigned characters. He leaves no stone unturned to showcases one of the best performances over the silver screen. His latest movie Kabir Singh has a similar story from he has shed 14 kgs to play the character of a young medical student. The film is a remake of a South Indian hit film called Arjun Reddy. Although the fans have to wait till June to see the action in action with the film.

His trainer Samir Jaura has much to share about the physical transformation of the actor, which is still undergoing for the said movie. Jaura said that it was the first time for him to work with Shahid Kapoor since he had worked with him in 2003 with the film Ishq Vishk when he was seen in the college goer. He was kept on a strict diet of 1400 to 1500 calories diet per day. He then had cardio sessions to get a lean look claims the trainer.

He then added some low protein for the actor which was the fine balance blend of carbs and veggies. He with his intense workout session along with diet was able to lose 14 kgs. By the time the film on the floor, Shahid Kapoor was all ready with his new looks. He also changed his workout regime in the second half, which sees the protagonist setting out a self-destructive image.

To give the actor a groggy alcoholic look, the trainer recalls that Shahid’s diet had dense dairy products along with protein and carbs. He said he designed the workout session of the actor in such a way that his body could appear only bigger and not muscular. The original character of Shahid Kapoor is of a doctor, so he said that it would not be appropriate to get a doctor with six-pack abs.
