Shah Rukh Khan’s In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones and Massey Sahib to Screen at Red Lorry Retrospective

India’s premier world cinema event, the Red Lorry Film Festival, is set to present a special retrospective celebrating acclaimed filmmaker Pradip Krishen, showcasing his rare and influential films. Titled A Retrospective Celebrating Filmmaker Pradip Krishen, the showcase will feature three of Krishen’s most distinctive works: In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones, Electric Moon, and Massey Sahib. Audiences will get the unique opportunity to revisit his sharp, original storytelling on the big screen.
Pradip Krishen remains one of Indian cinema’s most original voices. His cult campus classic In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones, penned by Arundhati Roy, captured the spirit of 1970s Delhi student life with wit and subtle rebellion. His debut film Massey Sahib gained international acclaim and launched Raghuvir Yadav’s career, while Electric Moon offered a satirical take on post-colonial India. Beyond filmmaking, Krishen later became one of India’s leading naturalists.
Ashish Saksena, COO Cinemas at BookMyShow and Festival Director of the Red Lorry Film Festival, said, “Pradip Krishen’s films hold a special place in Indian cinema for their originality, intelligence, and cultural richness. Through this retrospective, we are proud to bring his landmark films back to the big screen for both new and longtime fans.”Filmmaker Pradip Krishen expressed his excitement: “
This is a pinch-me moment! It’s a true honour to have all three of my films screened together at the Red Lorry Festival in Mumbai. It’s wonderful to see them return to the big screen.” The Red Lorry Film Festival will run from March 13 to 15 in Mumbai, featuring over 120 films from around the world.
