Shah Rukh Khan and Family to Temporarily Relocate from Mannat: Check why?

Mumbai’s most famous celebrity home, Mannat, is all set to undergo an extensive transformation, prompting Shah Rukh Khan and his family to temporarily relocate. Starting this May, construction work will commence at the superstar’s iconic residence, leaving fans disappointed as they won’t catch glimpses of SRK on the terrace during the renovation period.

According to a media report by national daily called Hindustan Times, the renovation is expected to last two years and will include the addition of two new floors to the Mannat annexe. The necessary approvals for this expansion were sought by Gauri Khan from the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) in November last year. During this time, Shah Rukh, Gauri, and their children are reportedly moving to Pali Hill, where the superstar has leased four floors in a luxury apartment developed by renowned producer Vashu Bhagnani.

A leave and licence agreement has been signed between Red Chillies Entertainment (SRK’s production house) and Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh, the co-owners of Puja Casa and children of Vashu Bhagnani.

While the temporary residence may not match the grandeur of Mannat, sources claim it offers ample space to accommodate the Khan family, along with SRK’s extensive security team and staff. The superstar will reportedly pay a hefty ₹24 lakh per month for the four floors.

However, neither the Khan family nor the Bhagnanis have officially confirmed the move. On the other hand, the fans are now eagerly waiting for the grand reveal of the revamped Mannat, which promises to be bigger and more extravagant than ever. While the mansion undergoes its much-anticipated facelift, SRK’s fans will have to wait patiently for their favorite superstar to return to his iconic home.
