Severe Backlash led Pati Patni Aur Woh makers to remove the word ‘Balatkari’

kartik aaryan

As the trailer of the film Pati Patni Aur Woh released, it was an instant hit for its quirky dialogues and plot. It was appreciated for its content and the on-screen chemistry between the leading ladies. However, amidst all the ga-ga thing, people objected to the word Balatkari used in one of the dialogues when Chintu played by Kartik was seen talking to his friend Fahim. In his dialogue he said “Biwi se sex maang le toh hum bhikaari, biwi ko hum sex na de toh hum atyaachari, aur kisi tarah jugaad laga ke hum usse sex haasil kar le na, toh balatkari bhi hum hai”.

The reactions of the netizens and other people came with tough words both on Social Media and in the real world. People objected and asked to mute the same. However, the makers had their own plans, they replaced the cuss word with bad sankaari. This seems to be added by the makers on a volunteer basis and has nothing to do with the Censor Board as it was okay with it. However, the Board asked the makers to get U/A Certificate for it, hence had no problems in using such words.

Also, the makers changed the dialogue ‘usse sex haasil’, to ‘usko sex ke liye raazi kar le na’. The makers then did a couple of other changes in the diaglogues removing the abusive words ‘c*****a’, ‘haraamzaade’ and ‘iski maa ka’ by muting them together. Also, they changed one more dialogue when in the mall Bhumi ask about Raymond showroom to one of the staff asking “Raymond showroom bandh ho gaya hai”to “Raymond showroom aaj bandh ho gaya hai.”
