Seema Azmi is an actress who hails from Guwahati, Assam. She was born on 8th January in Assam and was raised in Delhi. She did her schooling and college from Delhi and later she joined National School of Drama and completed her graduation in the year 2001. She then was selected for the NSD Repertory Company and headed to Mumbai where she worked for it for two years. There she got the chance to work with some popular theatre personalities like Peter James, Rajendra Nath, Bhanu Bharti, Mahesh Dattani, John Russell Brown and so on.

She got her first break with the Bollywood film called Water with Deepa Mehta as its director in 2005 playing the role called Bahu Rani. She then was seen in SRK film Chak De India playing the role called Rani Dispotta. She then was seen in another film Saas Bahu Aur Sensex, and then in Aarakshan playing the role called Shambhu Yadav’s wife. She then worked with short films and other movies including Sound of Silence: The Collision of Storms Within, Chitrafit 3.0 Megapixel, The Second Best Exotic Marigold sizzlingel and Mohalla Assi.

saBesides she also directed a couple of plays including Dear Diary, Gadhe Ki Bararat and The Silent Front to name a few. She has worked in Hindi, English, and Marathi plays. Her play Sara directed by Mahesh Dattani was popular for her performance. She also runs her own theatre group called Shila Shringar. Talking about her personal life, she is single and not ready to mingle as she is focussing on her career still. She is active on social media and her body measures as 34-26-35.
